We trust everyone all is well and healthy. Thankfully, restrictions are now easing off, its time to meet up again. With this in mind, I am arranging the Rhine Crossing Memorial Service followed by lunch.
The Commemoration Service for Operation Varsity – The Crossing of the Rhine
Venue : The Community Church, Episkopi Station
Date : Sunday, 27 March 2022
Time : 1200hrs (please be seated by 1145hrs)
Dress : Lounge Suit/Blazer, Medals and Berets
The Service will be conducted by Father Ian Nicholson
Our Association Standard, The RAFA {Aphrodite Branch) Standard and the RAMC Standard will be paraded.
Invitations to join us have been extended to the RAFA, the RAF Air Crews Association, the RAMC Association, the RLCA and to the members of the Community Church congregation. As always we hope for strong support from our own members, families and friends. A packed Church would certainly be a pleasure to behold.
Directions to the Episkopi Station Community Church
Drive to Episkopi Station main gate, turn left at the armoured car roundabout, 250 yards on the left is the Station church and car park. In order that we obtain smooth entry to the Station we are required to inform the Station Security well in advance with details of non-pass holders. We require name, passport number, car make and number. Please forward this information to us soonest.
Important: At the moment it is still a requirement to produce a Safe Pass, however, should the rules change we will advise you accordingly.

Lunch, for those wishing to join us has been arranged at the ‘Buccaneer Pub and Restaurant’ in Erimi Village. To ensure a quick and efficient service we have been requested to pre-order our choices, I have, therefore, attached a copy of their Menu and would appreciate an early reply together with your choice from the Menu. Payment for drinks and food will be a personal responsibility.

Leave Episkopi Base, turn left towards Limassol, drive straight through Episkopi Village, drive across the Bridge to Erimi, keep driving past the Buccaneer on the left, take the first turning left, then left again into the one-way system. You then have two options for parking, a) take the first turning right, then about 75 metres on the left you will find a sign to the car park b) keep driving straight going up the one-way system, look for the Municipality building with flags on the left, drive into the car park. Our Pegasus flag will be a DZ marker at the rear entrance to the Buccaneer.

Good Morning to all our Members
The reason for this ‘Addendum’ is not that Mary neglected to include the following information in the Paraphrases sent out earlier this week but decided, on this occasion, it would appear better a single page rather than three pages plus the menu.
Welfare actions and personal contacts
a) Sadly I have to inform you that Richard Emery has been seriously ill and has had 2 operations.
After a long stay in hospital he was discharged last Friday. Richard and Margaret have now left
Airborne Forces Association as they will be returning to the UK in April 2022.
Richard and Margaret Emery have been sterling supporters of our Association and will be sadly
missed. Many of you will remember the visit to the Nicosia Police HQ and Museum arranged
by Richard. We wish them both the very best for the future and hope we will all meet again.
b) I am delighted to be able to inform you that Rosemary Corner has rejoined the
Association. Thank you Rosemary.
